Judge Bleich has been honored with induction into the LSU Law Center Hall of Fame (1987), the Distinguished Service Award from Louisiana Tech University (1987), and was named Outstanding Young Man of the Year for Louisiana (1981) by the Louisiana Jaycees. In the legislature, Rep. Bleich served as Vice-Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee and as a member of both the Civil Law and Procedure and Administration of Criminal Justice Committees.

Since 1997, in addition to his trial work, Joe Bleich has performed mediation and arbitration services throughout Louisiana and the surrounding states. As a member of the ADR Inc. PANEL OF NEUTRALS , Judge Bleich’s services are routinely requested to oversee alternative dispute resolution. Arbitration cases have included accidents, medical disputes and a wide variety of business and contractual interpretations. With more than six hundred mediation cases accepted, Judge Bleich has helped resolve a broad range of disputes, including accidents, contracts, successions, oil and gas, malpractice (legal and medical), and domestic disputes.
