Judge Bleich is a former member of the Evidence Advisory Committee for the Louisiana State Law Institute, and in connection with that service has spoken concerning the Louisiana Code of Evidence on a number of occasions, including to the Louisiana State Bar Association as well as numerous local bar associations. He has been a lecturer for the Louisiana Judicial College and a speaker for numerous civic, university and religious organizations, serving as a certified advanced lay speaker in the United Methodist Church. Judge Bleich also has taught negotiation and mediation at Southern University Law Center, as well as political science and business law at Louisiana Tech University and Grambling State University.

Judge Bleich is admitted to practice in the United States Supreme Court, the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, the United States District Courts for the Eastern, Western and Middle Districts of Louisiana, the Louisiana Supreme Court and all state and appellate courts in Louisiana. He is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, the Lincoln Parish Bar Association and the Fred Fudickar Chapter of the American Inns of Court (Master of the Bench; Past President).
